Is this the polymer frame double stack Bul model?

If so make sure you'll be getting all the mags you want or can find a source for them first.

I've got the Kimber model of the Bul polymer frame double stack and its quite nice but spare mags are tough to find and rather expensive when you do.

I once had a BUL M5 Government. Daly is just the importer, the pistol is Israeli and is widely used in competition abroad.

Shot OK, actually felt better than any .45acp double stack I've known (USP, Para, SA Hi-Cap, G21). M-5 GM mags aren't any more expensive than Para or USP. Shop around.

Most of the go fast parts have to come from abroad so aftermarket sucks. Tight chamber kept jamming snapcaps, although it functioned flawlessly with live ammo. I wish they hadn't used a bull barrel, but the slide is slotted for a regular 1911-style bushing. Not bad if the price is right.

Your short barrel version maybe exhibit the same 1911 short barrel probs of the past.

I was under the impression that Charles Daly 1911s were made by Armscor? Pretty sure I saw that posted by a RIA rep on one of the 1911 forums.

but their double stack 1911s were BUL.

Ah-ha! I didn't know a double stack Charles Daly 1911 existed. Gets pretty confusing when different models under the same name are made by different companies.

My CD 1911 is built by Armscor. Basic 1911 shoots great after I replaced some parts with better ones.

Thanks for the feedback, y'all. I think Chaz Daly models have varied from Armscor to who knows, but Mister 2 is correct: this one is manufactured in Israel. That's the only reason I would consider it. I already have a RIA subcompact 45 on the way, but was looking at a possible second subcompact 1911. A couple others I'm considering: Used para Ord, Springfield micro, and Kimber Ultra Carry. I've also considered going Glock for my second 45 subcompact.
