Charles Daly magazines

A friend has a Charles Daley 9mm CD9 handgun and is looking for some extra magazines. Where would I look to find some? I am pretty sure the gun is no longer in production. Would it be a stretch to think that Walther P99 magazines would work?

Hi-Power clone or 1911 I could have offered some information. I didn't even know (maybe I just forgot) they sold a gun called the CD9. I had to look it up.

From my research - the resemblance to a Walther P99 is visual only.

Of note - the gun is technically still in production. Charles Daly never manufactured anything - they were an importer. The Charles Daly CD9 was actually the Akdal Ghost TR-01 made in Turkey:

Unfortunately the gun isn't currently imported by anyone else and I don't see any mention of a mag from another gun working. Your buddy will probably have to live with the mags he currently has.

That tends to be one of the drawbacks of one-off imported guns. If the mag supply dries up you're kinda SOL. You'll never have trouble finding mags for a 1911, Glock, or Hi-Power.
