Just got an email from cheaper than dirt that they were just "revewing" the policies and qre going to contiune online firearm sales.

I still doubt ill be shopping there again.

I never bought from them, but for reasons different than this.

Glad they're back up and running, though.

Be sure to answer those emails with a reply....

Sorry guys, but you can close my account. I've done some reviewing too.

People just need to relax. Everybody is trying to figure out how to respond to this tragedy. Don't be so quick to burn your own at the stake.

Based on their latest 30-round Pmag prices, they clearly aren't afraid to burn their own... the customer.

I still won't buy from them

Ditto

Yup. I actually took the time to write Magpul and ask that they not wholesale their products to CTD in light of this. There is no shortage of ethical distributors to move their products who will keep with Magpul's "low cost, high quality" slogan and repuatation.

i wrote them a email last night with forwarded links to several forum threads saying we are boycotting them.

im so tired of unethical gun salesmen, tuesday i walked out of 3 different stores that i have spend large amounts of my time and money in. just because i was greeted with "better buy them now be for there all gone" and meet with guns that were 25% over what they were the day before! i hate price gouger's and despise fear mongers.

CTD has thousands of customers. They'll survive a brief boycott just like 99% of the businesses who get boycotted.

Dent or no, I sent them an e-mail (which I'm sure no human will ever read) and let them know that free market be damned, marking products up 400%+ and taking advantage of a tragedy and the resulting panic was in my possibly flawed opinion fairly darned crappy, and that I would not be buying from them ever again. I've only ever really bought sale items in the past, so I'm guessing they won't miss me. But just maybe, in the happy little fantasy world I live in, enough people will do the same thing I do, and CTD will feel the pinch.
But probably not.

They should have explained themselves better, they just ended up looking like Dicks....Sporting goods that is, and all the other knee jerk fake 2A supporters, I'm done with them.

That's what was said last time, and it didn't seem to really make a dent.

because most people lack the courage of their convictions. they beat their chests on the internet about the hollywood elite and call them names, but gladly send $100/mo to their cable companies to fund them.

no CTD will be fine. they will offer a 20% off sale on some piece of surplus crap, and the sort of people who shopped there last week will abandon any morals and continue to shop there next week.

Bought TONS from them in the 'old' days when they had Talon re-manufactured AP M2, FMJ, and tracer in .06 for 5.25 per 20rd box.

I know what they announced, but as they retracted, I'm not ready to dump kerosene on them. After all, I spend money on Ruger stuff once in a while even after good ole' Billy Boy opened his yapper in 94 and birthed the 10 rd magic limit. The glory of it is that his legacy fell and his company came in with the team for the big win.

So I'll defer judgment on CTD just yet. I'm broke anyway and like buying from AIM Surplus and J&G this last decade or so; great customer service from both and they've got gun to sell via the web.

Their permanently tainted to me. And I steered two friends away from them yesteday

And if nothing changed then ALL their mags would be in the hands of the few. If you guys wanna get pissed at somebody because you can no longer buy cheap magazines, blame your fellow panic buying shooter. Blame yourself if that's what you're doing. You can't blame the vendor for trying to spread them out a little bit. They can't get enough votes to pass an assault weapons ban, to do so would be political suicide and it'll get argued for years before it even comes to a vote. So it's all for nothing anyway.

Slow your roll, engage your brain, don't be like "them".

There was no misunderstanding with CTD. They made a bad decision and are now doing a 180.

I'll never buy from them again.
