An alternative
Not disparaging any of the dispensors of new equipment, but if you know what you want and what it's worth, Ebay is worth a try. Just make sure to factor freight into your total cost when bidding, and compare to what Midway or your preferred vendor is selling it for.
Personally, I'll watch an item I'm interested in, then only submit my maximum bid within the last 20-30 seconds. I only get one shot at it, but if I'm high bidder the previous high bidder doesn't usually have time to re-bid and out bid me. If I'm not high bidder, then I don't have time to re-bid either and bid more than I had already determined the "whatever" was worth. I've seen brand new factory mags go for more on auctions than you can buy them new from Sig, just because the bidders got caught up in the excitement of the hunt, er, auction.
Of course, Ebay is only an option if what you want is being offered for competitive prices. I've yet to see a Midway/Franklin tumbler on Ebay go for cheaper than you can buy brand new when Midway has them on sale. So when I finally do get around to getting a tumbler, I'm going to ignore my own advice and just buy new from Midway. But only because I've already checked Ebay out for tumblers for the last several months, and Midway will be cheaper.
