You want a good reliable AR? Then consider selling off the Inland (around here $1,000 plus) and buying an AR.
Agreed. You can get a Colt 6920 (long considered the AR15 measuring stick) for under $1000, either online or, in some states, the local WalMart.

If you sell the M1 for closer to $1300, maybe take a look at BCM. They're quickly taking Colt's place at the top of the "mil-spec" totem pole. The Colt 6920 is still an excellent rifle though. You'd have a hard time doing better for $1000 otd.

I'm not a big M1 fan, but even so, they are a classic rifle that has considerable demand, and will only increase in value, while the shotgun Saiga is kind of a goofy novelty gun ,IMO (and I say that as a fan of AK's and saiga's).
If you just tote that M1 around a good gunshow, or list in on your local Armslist, you'll definitely get some interest.

eh...saiga's in .223 go for a a few hundred bucks. i picked one up, mint condition, with rails/bipod/scope/skeletonized stock/fluffy cheek pad/butt pad/more rails/original furniture/extra mags, etc, for 400 in like 2011 well into the obama derp, the thing was pimped to the fullest and it isnt plasticool gear. get more info on it, based on what i've read here don't trade your m1 for a questionable product.
