Choosing rail and rings for Saiga 7.62x39 sporting rifle

It seems UTG 5th Gen Quick Detachable Double Rail AK Side Mount(MNT-978) is pretty good for its price. What kind of ring should I use?

AccuShot Premium 1-Inch Weaver Style See-Thru Medium Profile Rings
AccuShot Premium 1-Inch Weaver Style See-Thru High-Pro Rings

With which combination can I use iron sight without removing the scope? What's the difference between medium and high? Someone told me it's better to mount the scope higher on the ak, or ar. I don't remember exactly. Or it doesn't make much difference as long as the scope fits there. From the pics I saw a medium profile mount should give enough clearance to mount most scopes on a saiga.
Is there any advantage by using high profile rings? If it's too high I might have to take the scope off to fit into my rifle case.

I am still searching for a scope, any recommendations for a scope under $50? I am new to guns, do some deer hunting. I just want to get a scope and practice, maybe invest more after I become comfortable with scope.

Thanks.

which Saiga are you getting or do you have? .223 7.62 x 39, .308, 12 guage, etc?

check out Carolina Shooter Supply's beryl mount... it's what I have on my .308... you take the rear sight off and it mounts on there and you use the top screw on the stock to mount it on... to clean your gun, you unscrew the rear screw and the mount swings up, when you are done cleaning etc... you just swing it back down and you NEVER lose your Zero... they have a video of installing it on there.. it's only $40 or so...
ask Greg from Carolina Shooter's and he can answer almost any question about Saigas... will you or have you converted your Saiga? he's got kits for that as well.. he answers phone calls and emails super fast... I was impressed with his customer service skills. good luck

get a bigger case if you are concerned about rifle and scope not fitting... I use a guitar bag for my babies going to and from shooting range... I suggest getting the lowest mount possible... at every 3-gun match I've gone to there isn't a single person besides me who shot an AR with carry handle... the closer your scope is to the barrell, the better. I use Leapers scopes... they are decent and under $100...

Get the UTG Quick Detach mount with the lowest rings possible that allow rear sight clearance. Forget high mounts that allow use of irons. Your cheek weld will be more like a chin weld. The UTG will allow field stripping without removing the mount.

Thank you. Yeah I still want to use iron sight. How to determine which one is the lowest ring I can use to fit the size of scope and give rear sight clearance? I don't quite understand how the height of the ring is related to rear sight clearance but some people said they had to remove rear sight to be comfortable with scope

If you insist on using see-though rings, any scope will work.

If you use standard rings with a shorter compact 4x or 6x scope, the rear sight should be no problem and you can use the lowest rings available. If you want to go with a larger objective 3-9x, then medium rings will allow the scope to clear the sight.
