Christmas gifts for a Texan who hunts in a blind

Believe it or not I have a friend in Alabama that bought several junk port-a-potties a few years ago and turned them into deer blinds.
I have actually been looking into a solar setup for my largest blind for just this reason. I use my cell phone as a Kindle and it would help to be able to charge it if I hunt all day. It doesn't take a lot of juice to charge a cell phone.
I have 2 office chairs in my stand to accommodate an extra hunter(it will seat three at 8x4) and I use the extra chair for my stuff when alone.
Custom knives are always welcome to a hunter that has everything. I am pretty much in that boat now as I have accumulated two of just about everything over the years. My days of using climbers are limited (still do on occasion) and I sure do enjoy an office chair better than two 2x4s between two oak trees.

How about take a 5 gallon plastic bucket,,,

How about take a 5 gallon plastic bucket,,,
Then fill it full of hunting munchies.

Food is always a welcome gift,,,
And some of those snacks are really tasty.

Just a thought but food gifts work well for me.

Custom knife all the way. That'd be something he would always keep close, never wear out and be passed down for years to come. I'm 23 so it will be a long time before I'm in this situation, I love handme down anything short of long unserwear.

Maybe something that prevents him from having to sit in the blind in the first place?

I built these game radios years ago and I rarely just sit in a blind anymore. Set them up in all the different areas that I use to sit and hunt (one at a time) and do something constructive with my time. When the radio goes off stalk the position.

That's kinda awesome MacGyver....I mean Jmorris:). I've got an old 35mm game cam that I could maybe convert in to this type of thing. I could put a little midland radio in it and somehow wire it so that the sensor triggers the radio.

The problem with that radio is that I get 500 pictures a week and 400 of them are either raccoons or the same few doe groups.

How about a Polaris Ranger for him to get to and from the blind! You would be a great son.

Might set your radios out for a few weeks on and see how much cross traffic you get on them. The radios I used were out of a prison and on LEO frequencies. One time in all the years I have used them have I ever caught a signal from a radio I didn't own.

The IR sensor I used has different lenses that came with it. After testing with all of them I use the "Pet" lense. It allows you to set your alarm for motion and cats and dogs won't set it off but something larger will.

No more squirrls or coons, sunspots/shadows from blowing trees activating it.

You would be notified on the does though. I use them for hog hunting, just bury your corn deep enough and deer will walk on by and you have enough time to finish what your doing then go after them before they can dig out and eat all the corn.

Gosh, you guys have it nice. This year I sat on a portable tree stand in sub freezing windy day. And I loved doing it. I guess it would be nice to hunt like that even if I felt like a sissy. I am old now and could take the embarrassment. Enjoy your blessings fellas. I would be happy to join you someday.
