Chronograph report/ Monarch steel cased .223 ammo

I thought I would share this data I got today on the Monarch/Barnual brand steel cased 55grn FMJ .223 ammo as found in academy stores for $149 per 500rd case.

This ammo thus far has fed, fired and ejected flawlessly from my 20" barreled 603 milsurp upper. Ten rounds rapid fired at 100yds produced a group measuring 3.5"

The velocity data for the 9 rds the chrony read is as followes
ES 76 fps
avg 3095 fps

all in all in my opinion not too bad given this ammo's price point.

very sweet, and from a 20 inch upper you say? I wonder if it will give up the full 3200 fps, from a 22 inch bbl? It sounds as if it may get close
