I like how it's a full auto .45...oh wait, it's not for us
I like how it's very compact...oh wait, it's not for us
I think I'll pass, but I do like the fact that it's something new and innovative and I'm always for more new firearm manufacturers out there.

I don't really see the point unless you have the paperwork to get it in full auto. The only thing innovative about it is the fact that it directs the recoil downward on the extraction. Unless it's full auto you really won't be able to reap the benefits. May as well get a UMP or something.

It's black
It's apparently evil
I can feel it's evil rays eminating from it, forcing me to want to shoot it.

If only they could make it in 10mm

Ok, Ok, I'll put my tin foil hat back on and sit in the basement:neener:

I would most definitely buy one if it didn't have that hideous looking barrel protruding out so far...
and if it had DA SWITCH...
and if I didn't live in michigan and didn't have to register firearms with folding stocks that are under 30 inches when the stock is folded as pistols.

count me out. Although I will say I am definitely interested in this carbine, I think it would fill certain roles very well. (if it had a short barrel and DA SWITCH)

less recoil = better controlability = higher accuracy = better safety, simi or fully auto. why is there even any question of whether this innovative action is applicable to simi auto? of course it is.

it is simple (for me anyway) to see its utility for home defense, and for target shooting.

prove to me that it can digest a wide range of 45 acp loads reliably, and to me, we've got a winner. (hopefully i will be able to report back on this some day! it is pricey.)

with reguard to prejudice for/against a military visage, (this goes for any gun for any use); ugly is only skin deep. form follows function in good guns. anything else is Hollywood. if ugly/evil looks serves the purpose of improving functionality, then ugly becomes beautiful (in my opinion). although i certainly have my own idea of what is beautiful, i believe that no one should buy a gun because it's ugly or beautiful. that person should buy a gun for what he or she needs or wants that gun to actualy do.. one's sense of beauty should be maliable or adpatable.. our sense of what is beautiful is one of the very few things about which we should constantly change our mind.

but enough with the philosophy: i would like to see a platform based on this action with interchangeable calibers/formats.

if innovation is the goal here, i pose these questions:

1. if you could have this single weapon adaptable to three calibers/formats.. ie magnum pistol, acp or shotgun, what would that perfect combo be?

2. wonder why they have not chosen a bull-pup configuration for use with this action?

my friend has one, and lucky to have a shot at it. my break barrel .22 has way more kick than the kriss, awesome little gun

A semi-auto Kriss will appeal to those of us that would love a 21st century update to the Thompson. It's got "wow" factor and would be a real attention getter at the range plus I'd bet it would be a ball to shoot.

Crap, deer hunter, I knew someone would ask that - I forgot to look at the price tag, but I will find out for you..... and there was only ONE, mind you.

I wish more guns were in the $4-800 range. Seems like a cool additon to the collection but 2k is a little much to pay for cool. At least until I get a better job.

A long barreled semi auto at that price range doesn't do much for me. It might be a fun toy but not my cup of tea.

I don't complain when a firearms company introduces something new for us civilians
Exactly. We can all complain how stupid it is or looks, but when it comes down to it, you can buy it or you can not buy it. It is a radical new SMG that is going to have a civilian version. It doesn't cause cancer or make global warming give us another blizzard this winter, so enjoy the ability to buy cool stuff like this while you still can.

Neat experimental rifle, but it seems to me in a semi auto format it is a solution in search of a problem.

I've read this kind of comment more than once all over the net. For me, I'm excited about this (plus it's coming out in .40 next year). Here's a few reasons to like it:

1. It weighs about 7-8 lbs less than a 16" Tommy Gun :what:
2. 30 round magazine in .45 ACP...Barreta Storm only takes pistol mags
3. Less felt recoil and muzzle rise is NEVER EVER a bad thing. :)
4. Big, simple, robust parts like an AK
5. People who actually shoot them LOVE them

"BUT IT COSTS MORE!" With anything unique and of high quality, it's gonna cost more. Look at H&K as an example. If you want to spend 1/3 the money, you're sacrificing something. Sometimes you actually get what you pay for.
