I have a number of AR, FAL, G3, AK, AUG, etc... pattern guns and this was bought for fun. I have to disagree about it having no use. If you live in an apartment building or urban setting where homes are close and where overpenetration would be a concern this would be a fine home defense arm for repelling thugs. I would not want to be on the receiving end of one

5.56 has less penetration than .45ACP

I handled one and wasn't impressed.
