Use for Kriss semi-auto

I would love one of these. I'm an armed security guard for apartment complexes in rough neighborhoods. Many of my colleges have AR-15 types and 12 guage shotguns for when the s**t hits the fan. I like my shotgun, but a 45 carbine would be perfect for the limited range of the complexes and would have far less pass through potential than most 5.56 loads.

That, and I like having something that uses the same loads as my 1911! :D

Gecko45?

You wouldn't have a link to that Gecko45 story would you? I've been dying to show my girlfriend the mall ninja stuff.

Wow, Brought back from the dead not once, but twice...

Not my cup of tea. Yes, I would use a PCC for defense but its only real advantage is lower noise. It comes up short in every other area when compared to a carbine in a rifle caliber, so my 9mm AR stays in the safe, and my 5.56 stays out.

One thing about .45ACP carbines, assuming its a 16" bbl and not a tube silver soldered to a shorter bbl, is that .45s are amazingly quiet. With my Thompson 1927, I notice the "ping" of the bolt cycling more than I do the report of the gunshot. I'd have to say its right below the pain threshold without hearing protection. I think its due to the .45 being subsonic, and since its a low-pressure round, all the powder has burned by the time it leaves the bbl anyway.

For gits and shiggles, I wanted a lighter .45 carbine, and spent a wad of money on an AR45 lower. Now if only I could find an upper...

I am an owner of one and love it and its looks are very "Aliens" looking or more modern than your basic AR15.

Here are a couple pics..
