Class 3 check MO/KS

I'm looking into a position in Kansas City. As such, I'd be living in either Kansas or Missouri. Now the only question is, can I bring my class 3 weapon along for the ride? Do either of these states dis-allow machine guns/silencers?

Packing.org tells me that I can get a permit for CCW in Missouri but not in Kansas, but says nothing about NFA weapons.

according to the book i have, Traveler's Guide to the Firearms Laws of the Fifty States, personal machine gun ownership is prohibited in Kansas and in Missouri, they are allowed if classified as C&R. this book was also published in 2001 so it's possible that those prohibitions have been lifted so i would look into it further. the books also says that both of those states do not have CCW availablity so it looks like Missouri has changed that law since 2001.

SI - sound suppressor (silencer)
SR - short barreled rifle
SG - short shotgun
AOW - any other weapon
LBDD - large bore destructive device
EXPDD - explosive, incendiary or poison gas destructive device

Packing.org is way out of date. You can get a CCW in Kansas. See handgunlaw.us for current information.

My understanding is that you can have a C&R MG without an FFL, and you can have any MG with an FFL (C&R is sufficient). Please double-check at the Missouri hometown forum at ar15.com...
