Has anyone ever had any dealings with Classic Ballistx? I want to get a replacement cylinder for my ROA and I'm torn between getting a C&B cylinder or a conversion cylinder. As far as I can tell Classic Ballistx is the only business offering a C&B cylinder. I've pretty much decided on the C&B cylinder but I was looking at their internet site and noticed where they don't list a physical address or phone number. IMO, that means tread lightly. What do you think?

Thanks Articap. That pretty much solves my quandry as whether to get a C&B cyclinder or a conversion. Of course with what they charge for those conversion cylinders I could just throw in another $100 or so and get an whole, new gun. Come to think of it, I always have liked those Remingtons...

You can get them from Ruger, but you have to send your gun. They claim it needs fitting. $95 for cylinder, $50 for labor, $30 for return shipping.

I picked up 3 of the CBx cylinders on auction sites over the years, actually the first was on Ebay. They are well made and I didn't pay over $120 for any of them and 2 were unfired. They are actually about 5gr deeper than the factory cylinder. I also picked up a conversion cylinder so I get 4 rounds between reloads and with the conversion; reloads are much faster.:D

Vermonter, I had heard that Ruger will "replace" your cylinder. When you send your gun in, they keep the cylinder that is in the gun and replace it with a new one. Is that correct? Or can you send it in without a cylinder?

Robhol, I'll keep an eye out at the auctions. I've been watching for one to show up periodically but haven't seen anything. I'm tempted to get a conversion cylinder but I already have a .44 Mag. Blackhawk so all I would be doing is spending $300 to get a gun that I basically already have. I think I'll keep trying to find a C&B cyclinder. Thanks for you info.
