Classic Firearms has just lost me as a customer. They sent me an email this afternoon about their $99.00 MN rifles. I went online 10 mins later and tried to buy one. Three hours later I gave up. I was going to buy over $1,000.00 of guns and ammo and now they have lost my business forever. It won't do any good to email them about it as it impossible to get on their site. I will go to SOG, Widner's and SG Ammo to get what I want at not too much more money without wasting 3 hours for nothing. In a week or so I will email them asking to be taken off their mailing list and to have them delete my account with them. The $40.00 or so in savings I was planning on is just not worth the time and aggravation.

Worked fine for me just now. If I got hot headed and quit someplace every time I had a little web glitch I wouldn't even have internet today!

Well, sometimes things happen. But in this day and age people demand 100%, 100% of the time, no instant gratification, no business.

Things happen. Sometimes systems fail. It's not like you talked to them and they were rude and horrible to you.

No offense, but why did you waste three hours trying to get on the website? If it doesn't work, move on and try accessing the site later that day. No need to create a rant thread and waste my time as well.

Classic Arms posted on their FB page earlier today that the $99 Mosin deal was so popular it crashed their website for a few hours yesterday. It happens. Better a commercial website goes down for a couple hours than a government site going down for ...what? 2 months now? :)

I call in my orders at Classic. The people on the phone are always friendly and yes, always busy.

I think you're better off. I quit buying from them because they seem to advertise their surplus firearms as being in much better condition than the ones I ever receive. Even with the hand pick option......

Who/how do you call? the number on their site doesn't work.

I ordered 3 mosins but the FFL address they have on file has changed his address and I need to get hold of them before they ship. I've emailed and faxed but I'd like to call them also.

thanks!

Its in big letters on the website.
I put a phone order in using that number less than 24 hrs ago.

The exact same thing happened to AIM Surplus' s website every time PMAG notifications went out during the great panic. Don't get stressed.

I've tried it 8 times today... get the "this call can not be completed" message after 20 seconds of nothing.

I'm guessing they got slammed with phone orders also, and perhaps unplugged.

I just hope they don't ship to the now-vacant FFL's former address. They wouldn't let me complete the order online without selecting the (incorrect former) address.

Just be patient

I tried their website and it worked fine. However, they didn't have a copy of my current C&R on file, so I had to call them. I used the number on the website and got through after several attempts. They are very busy with this $99 Mosin deal, so be patient and keep trying.

Gringo, yesterday at the vary same time you posted here 7:43 pm. Classic Firearms posted a reply to your same post over at Northwest firearms. And here it is.
“Sorry to hear about your trouble. As you can imagine everyone got real excited to hear and see M91's below $100. Our great customers took our link from the email blast and shared it with everyone. Traffic began flooding our website and causing slow downs. Eventually the servers could no longer handle the large amount of visitors.

This is our first extended/unplanned time down in roughly two years. Hopefully you can give us another shot as this was just a one time issue.” :banghead:

Did you try healthcare.gov yet?

^Good one!

$99 for Mosin Nagants in 2013? No wonder the website crashed. That's a really good deal. They seem to be $150 plus most places these days.

I was going to buy over $1,000.00 of

If I had a penny for every time someone has told me this at my job, I wouldn't be working for a small business anymore.

This is what I tell everyone else I'm doing tech support with, and 99% of the time it works:
Have you tried it from another location/device?

Sold Prices

I often see someone directed to check out "sold" prices of online auctions to determine what their gun is worth. How do you do that?

Impatient much????

I'd hate to see your reaction are in a line during a store sale (thanskgiving, xmas, etc).

A little patience goes a long way...
