You are using the old High Contrast theme. We have installed a new dark theme for you, called UI.X. This will work better with the new upgrade of our software. You can select it at the bottom of any page.
I don't know that I'd trust the FH on an M1A to "protect" the crown. If you look closely, there iis a small lip of the barrel crown that is a smaller diameter than the FH opening...at least mine does with a NM FH. This edge can get nicked pretty easily if you go in there with a hard cleaning rod and are not careful.
Bore guide, bore snake, "soft" cleaning rods (like carbon fiber) are your best bets if you are worried about nicking the edge.
Otis cleaning system. Buy one, use one, love one. I haven't gone from the muzzle in years. You don't need to remove your bolt to use one, though I would suggest dropping a stripper clip into the clip guide, just to protect your fingers.
