CMMG .22 Mag problems

I got a stainless CMMG .22lr AR15 conversion which after a couple mags has been flawless. However I'm having issues wwith some of the mags. I have six now and all are super hard to fill to 25 rounds, I got the mag loader but have to be careful because I sometimes dent the brass. Also on at least one of the mags, it keeps binding up around 15 to 20 rounds. I think its the spring either pops out of the tube or something cuz it'll get stuck, then som of the rounds will just fall out and sometimes the follower too, then I gotta smack it around to get it fixed. I opened it up and don't see any problems.

I'm thinking the springs are just too stiff or long or something. I might clip em a little shorter.

Has anybody had these problems? Any ideas?

which mags do you have. hope they're not black dog machine cause those are awesome. i have 5 and couldn't have been better.

I too have the CMMG kit and Black Dog Magazines. They are tough to load to 25rnds but I haven't had any issues with a stuck follower.

I have the gray "CMMG" mags, but aren't they exactly the same as the black dog mags?

I have a mix of CMMG gray and Black Dogs as well...both types seem stiff and don't want to load more than 25 rounds either, but then again, I haven't really broke them in...suspect best remedy is shoot'em a bit to break them in more! Takes longer to load'em than shoot'em!

i have the 27 round one and i have no problem loading them besides getting pass the feed lip. the 27th one is a hard one but still give you enough room to press down on it. with cci stingers i can only load 26 rounds and i can't press down. i believe the bdm mags and cmmg are similar but two different mags.
