Texas, baby!
was in there today browsing and saw a few fabulous deals. One is a centerfire, a old remmy 788 in 243 cal, with a scope on it, for 375!!!!! Dudes, that is totally sick, that rifle is so fine , if you do not know about lock time, well, the 788 was the factory king of lock time speed, and like the Saturn 5 rocket, No one seems to be able to duplicate it, helps it to be way accurate.
now then, two Marlin mod 60's with...

wait for it

both the last shot hold open feature, and the 17 round tube!!!! both were listed at 120 bucks, so you can proly get them down to 100. Also a nice hunter style Biathlon Basic, I think it was listed at 379.
Then, they had a old Marlin mod 81 DL, nice wood, nice steel, but without the factory peep site, though it was drilled and tapped, listed at 99 bucks, which means you can proly get it for 80 or so. You know I love those DL's, but man, that remmy 788 above, is the bee's
knees here...

rangerruck... if these are such great deals, are they still there? didn't they all go home with you?

I already have a marlin 60 with the features mentioned.... but the other deals sound good to me.....

I know, I know.... usually the words 'deal' and Collectors don't go together, but those are good prices for those mod 60's, and that remmy is completely outta control , as far as a good price...
they were there when I left, as I allready have a remmy 788, and a mod 60...
That Biathlon Basic though...

I see they have a K-31 with an obviously refinished stock, incorrect sling, and average bluing for $439. That's more like it.

Any idea what's up with that ?

I assume they sell all over the country, so maybe they price online based on the national high while in-store pricing is appropriate for the Houston market. Just a guess.
