it seems that not too long ago i recall seeing handguns that came from the factory in several color variations, not too much unlike the browning 22's w/ their splatter 'finish'.

is there anybody currently offering a handgun w/ a colored finish (red, yellow, or pink would be ideal) in something along the lines of a ruger hunter 22 or browning buckmark?

Tactical Solutions in Boise (south of the Interstate by Gowan Field) offers barrel assemblies for the Ruger and Browning in assorted colors - and with suppressors including complete pistols. Some of the high end European target pistols are currently around in fancy colors as is the current fashion (see e.g. Tubb rifle and all the others with lots of aluminum to be colored). It's a fashion that comes and goes - nobody was counting on sales in New York anyway so colors are fine.

Some of the raceguns are very fancy and some of the IDPA types have followed with flame paint or tiger striped paint jobs.

Beretta is offering a .22 with some pink in the grip, Kel-tec used to offer the P32 in different colors don't know if they still do, and Charters pink framed .38 has already been mentioned. Other than that there's some green and tan polymer guns out there.

If you want something really out of the ordinary I'm sure there's a company out there somewhere that can do it for you.

Also, wouldn't the politically correct phrasing be "Guns of Color"?

My problem with the pink guns is that they always use that Pepto-Bismol color. As a teen or young adult I'd have loved it. But I've outgrown candy-pink and would like to see some more adult shades like fuschia and rose.

Jay Leno was doing Headlines last night and made fun of a pink gripped SW 642 in an ad that advertised for the 'new bride'. He thought that it might bring on performance anxiety in the new groom. He might have a point if the groom doesn't :D

I remember that many folks like the 3913 LS - but didn't want to carry an LS - so SW made a run without the Slogan.

I bought a 317 LS because it had a full hammer spur as compared to more manly shorter spur :)confused:) 317.

The one the nice lady has behind her back is the one I am getting as my CC on friday, its a .45 Tangforglio Lady force. I got it for $300:)

I don't care what color people want their guns - just buy them! There are all different color cars, clothes, houses, and people. If you like a color go for it.

Get one Duracoated!

My favored pusher, er dealer has a used dark blue Keltec P-32. the price, at $150, makes me think about it.
