Brought home the Colt Special Samuel Edition today. It’s pretty, it’s a 1964 Gen 2, unfired….

why would anybody sell this bad boy for $1400… it’s PRETTY!

Photos after I give him a good cleaning

Montana Colt coming home in about 2-3 week, Love some Layaway

10 years or so ago I missed out on an 45 Colt single action for $650 that was embellished with gold accents. I wasn't fond of the gold but at that price I could have shot it w/o worrying about hurting the value.
I’m a fan of flashy guns!

Mark, I was around and buying guns in the 1970s. Most serious gun people thought these guns were silly and ugly. I knew a number of gun shop owners and was told Colt made dealers accept a certain number of commeratives to get the other Colts they wanted to sell. I would see those things setting on the shelves of those shops for weeks if not months. The longer they set the more the prices dropped.
