Colt MK VI 70 Series Dented Cases

Nineteen eleven extractors can be tuned, using the slide itself as the tool. Have a look online for a guide.
The basic test was always to remove the slide, insert a loaded round under the extractor, and give it something of a shake, to see if the round remains in place.
BTW, those of us who cut our teeth on revolvers, took it as a personal affront if we lost a single cartridge. "Shrinkage' is simply part of the deal with bottom feeders, regardless of the reason.

If youre reloading the revolvers properly, it can be the same problem, especially if you're moving around as you reload. :)

It holds it , but not as tight as I think it should . Much more than a light shake and it falls out . I am going to buy another extractor and experiment with bending it .

Ive found with the couple of Tisas 1911's I picked up that the extractors in them seem to be subpar, and ended up replacing one with a Wilson Bulletproof.

I also found that one of these was a big help.....

Its a lot more precise/repeatable than trying to use the extractor channel in the slide to adjust it.

Might not be worth the money to you if you only have one 1911, but who ends up with only one 1911? :)

Good link, thanks. My 1911s are on their good behavior, but that would be easier for precision. Kinda like a sight pusher.
