Nineteen eleven extractors can be tuned, using the slide itself as the tool. Have a look online for a guide.
The basic test was always to remove the slide, insert a loaded round under the extractor, and give it something of a shake, to see if the round remains in place.
BTW, those of us who cut our teeth on revolvers, took it as a personal affront if we lost a single cartridge. "Shrinkage' is simply part of the deal with bottom feeders, regardless of the reason.
