I haven't seen any news of this announcement yet. Guns.com just caught my eye with the announcement of Colt's "New Agent." It's a .45 ACP pocket pistol. According to the article it's 4 inches in height, 6 inches in length, and around 0.8 inches wide, with a capacity of 7+1. That sounds near impossible!
It has a hefty weight for a pocket pistol, weighing in at 24 ounces (this is around the same weight as a 3" 1911, such as the Kimber Ultra). This sounds like a very interesting handgun. It seems to look and function just like a 1911, with the blaring exceptions being that this pistol is double-action only (really don't like this part) and has no sights (something that, to me, is acceptable for a pocket pistol).
I've been looking at picking up the Sig Sauer P238 because it's essentially a Colt Mustang, which is essentially a pocket version of a 1911 chambered for the .380 ACP cartridge. But this new Colt New Agent...it's caught my eye. The article doesn't mention a release date (other than, of course, 2011). This is the first I've heard of it; any other information?
