While looking thru my safe this weekend, I found my forgotten Pony Pocketlite. I remember now boxing it up and stuffing it in the safe after getting my Kahr PM-9. About the same size, but 9mm instead of .380. Now the point, what to do with it. Small, light weight and well made.... but... AWFUL trigger and under powered (relative to the PM-9). My Keltec .380 is much smaller and more easily concealed. Sell it or stick it back in the safe until I find someone with lots of money who wants it more than me. I would bet there are others out there like me, who have pistols that just take up space in their safe.

I'll drive right to your door and give you $100 :)

Lets start a bidding war :)

These things carry outrageous (IMHO) asking prices when I see then at gun shows, so if you can afford to hang on to it with the rumors of Colt being sold the "original" stuff will almost certainly go up in value to those who buy guns for other than their utilitian value should this happen.

I've always wanted one but always thought they were way over priced for what you get -- a .380.

I've got a fairly well worn Mustang Pocketlite that I absolutely love. It shoots very well at POA and functions great (since replacing the magazine catch spring). I don't find the trigger to be bad, at all, but mine is the SA, and not the DAO Pony. I absolutely HATE a DAO auto (despite having one or two). If you don't plan on keeping it, either try to sell it now (I've seen them with asking prices upward of $750), or shove it back in the safe and see if the market goes even more increasingly ridiculous.

Colt Ponys are going for about $600 on the web right now. If I didn't have a few of Colt's Pocket Nine's (almost the same gun in terms of size and functionality but chambered in 9mm Parabellum) ...

... I would offer you six bills for your Pony.

Yeah, I got a few 3913's ...

:D

The P9's and the 3913's were my first concealed carry guns -- that's why they have a special meaning for me and why I own more than one of them.

I have a Colt Mustang Pocketlite that I think I am going to sell also. I put enough rounds through it and found it very reliable. I like at least a 9mm though and if I need a pocket gun I go to the Kahr PM9.

Rock, very nice. With Colt being sold a few days ago to General Dynamics Corp, the future availability of all Colt civillian models is in question and if I were you, I wouldn't part with it. I was going to sell one of my P9's but decided to sit tight until I see what happens with Colt in the future.
