I have a Remmie and a Rogers & Spencer. I've been contemplating an open top leverloader.
Thoughts about which one to start with?
1851? 1861?
I've like my couple of Ubertis (SAA and 1858). Is it worth paying the premium for Uberti?
My 1858 Uberti has a nice trigger, much nicer than some other replicas I've played with. The SAA needed new springs, but with a set of Wolffs and nothing else, it feels like it's been worked.
What about resellers? I understand that not all guns from a manufacturer are created equal.
Cabela's has the best prices on Piettas, for example. Are they the same as Piettas from Dixie?
What about Cimarron vs. Uberti-branded BP guns?
Thanks to anyone who knows! I already have enough stuff lying around; I'd like to get one good gun and shoot it, not buy Colt replicas until I like one.
