I like the golf ball treatment on the mainspring housing very much. It looks like it would be comfortable and functional. A bit more subtle on the front strap for my tastes...maybe a line per side narrower would work better...at least for me. Never cared for checkering on the front strap...but this texture seems like it might work. Rear of the slide? Nah. Et Suum Cuique, though.
Curious about the lightening cuts in the slide. Functional purpose or cosmetic touch?
Love the dehorning job. Second to none. Ditto for the final finish. Also like the contrast effect with trigger and sights. Just enough without overstating it.
I don't know who the other two are but I for one like it. More as a BBQ gun but with that said I would probabaly carry it. What kind of rear sights are those?
I like the sights, bevels, and front strap roughening.
I would not pay for, indeed might pay to have left off, roughening of non-grasping surfaces, serrations between the sights, grooves in the metal, and French Borders.
There is a lot to admire there. I admire the talent and patience that it took. Dang, its pretty.
Mostly though, from a practical "maybe I can affort it' standpoint for use on a carry pistol would be the thumb safety and the slide lock/release control surfaces.
My goodness man!!! That is some extremely fine looking machine work. You sir, are an artist. Don't mind those that don't get it, just keep doing it. There may only be one or two people on this board that realize WHAT you have done, who cares how many like it. This gun needs to be recognized for what it IS.
