Comfy Grips for an SP101?

Another vote for the Hogues. That extra finger on the grip makes a big difference with magnum loads. If you were going to carry with 38 or 38+p I would suggest just sticking with the factory grips. If it's going to be magnums you'll like the Hogues. I carry in a Galco Fletch holster and the Hogues are marginally more difficult to conceal than the factory grips, but I think they are worth it.

I think part of the fun of gun ownership is tinkering...and as you can see, this gun has been tinkered...but as much as I try, I can't find a better grip for my SP than the factory...perfect size for carry, absorbs recoil, and looks nice...I may change the insert one of these days for cosmetic reason if I find a nice stag or ivory but for now it just works great.

I agree. The OEM grips do work nicely for 38s. I'm wanting something that I can get a really good purchase on for 357s though. I bought this gun to shoot Magnums. I have a 642 for 38s.

Actually, I was really in the market for a model 65 or 66 K frame when I bought this gun. I liked the fact that the Ruger had some heft to it. That and it was available. I couldn't find a single K-frame in three gunshops I went to.
