We are preparing to travel north to see my wife's parents over Christmas. I have a TX issue CCW and it is recognized in all states that we travel through to Iowa but not in Iowa. Texas recognizes thier CCW but they do not recongize another other state's premits.

I hear we've been steadily getting invaded by californians for 30+ years. Somewhere along the way there is a filter or stupidity-magnet that stops the most flaming liberal of them around San Francisco, aka Sodom by The Bay. I just in Texas back in November, and was quite happy (and felt secure) because Texas allowed me to carry there.

I've given up on holding THR posters to any kind of accuracy with regard to nomenclature regarding economic/political systems.

For some folks, saying "communist" or "socialist" on THR is like saying "poopy diapers" in the 3rd grade. Everybody giggles to each other and high fives.

I struggle to maintain the illusion that the same results are the result of two different levels of cognition.

Definitions of Communism aside, Iowa sucks. Very "may-issue", almost no NFA stuff, and strict laws concerning firearms in vehicles.

Iowa definitely doesn't fit in with the rest of the midwest.
