Compact 45 ACP, is it pointless?

Here are some chrono averages from two previously owned compact 45's

Kimber Ultra Carry 3''
Federal Hydra Shok 230 @ 775 fps / 306# KE
Winchester Ranger T 230 @ 814 fps / 338# KE

Kimber CDP Compact 4''
Federal Hydra Shok 230 @ 814 fps / 338# KE
Winchester Ranger T 230 @ 851 fps / 370# KE

For comparison sake: my current 1911 compact, a SA EMP 40 with 3'' barrel
Winchester 180 JHP @ 952 fps / 362# KE
Winchester Ranger T 165 @ 1,054 fps / 407# KE
Hornady Zombie Max 165 @ 1,078 fps / 426# KE

Well you guys convinced me to get another .45, so I did. Got a PT145 Pro, 3.3" barrel. Cool little gun.

If the Taurus, doesnt work, you may want to look at the M&P compact 45

I love mine, carries well in a Supertuck, and has a 4 inch barrell
