Some gun companies have taken a stand against New York's meddling with Second Amendment rights:

This is kind of refreshing compared to the sell outs we've had in the past. In case you don't remember, Smith & Wesson sold out a number of years ago when they were trying to avoid litigation regarding law suits claiming the gun manufacturer was responsible for a criminal's crimes with a gun.
I wouldn't buy anything Smith & Wesson for a long time but its leadership did change so I've relented on that. The owner of Cooper Firearms donated to at least the first campaign of President Obama. Supposedly he stepped down from running the company after that but I don't really believe that.
