I've had a few good dealings, had a recoil spring break on a sccy 9mm, called and had a new one in 3 days, no questions, great cs, crappy gun, had another spring bend on a mossberg .22, it took them 6 months to get me a new one, back ordered, they were nice but the wait was kinda a bother, NNA was great when I bought another cylinder for my mini-mag, two week turn around time, I havnt had to use it yet, but jaminez replaced my friends cracked frame in about two weeks also.

My experiences...

Sig Sauer - has consistently paid shipping for any warranty work and has even sent two new TruGlo front sights where the fiber optic fell out instead of having me send it in (this was my preference).

FNH - on my FNP-9 I had some issues with the slide locking back, they sent me a call tag and paid shipping so they could service it. Different from someone else's experience I know... wonder if its a recent change as this was last year.

Nothing else I've owned has had to go back to the manufacturer for warranty work (including my 92FS).

Only used CS once on a taurus that I broke trying to be a shade tree gunsmith.

The Emailed me a prepaid label. I sent it out on a thurs and had it back the following wen.

Cant beat that.

My experience has been that S&W and Glock are top notch. Haven't paid S&H, just had to take the time to get packages to a UPS hub. S&W even replaced parts that they did not want to leave in the pistols, besides the updating work they did. Phenominal.

One firearm related company we will NEVER do business with again is Lone Wolf Designs. (LWD). NEVER.

A++ for Salute Products. They manufacture AR-500 steel targets and bases. I have an older version of one of the bases, and they promptly replaced a broken part with a new upgraded version. The owner even once called me back on a weekend when I had a question. I will continue to purchase their products.

Kel-Tec pays for shipping.
You have to fill out a request form for them to approve first..
First I have heard of that ... they must have changed their policy in order to get a better control on that aspect.

When I found that the slide on my PF9 had a flaw (right after I took possession several years ago) I either called or emailed (I forget ... probably, at least, initiated via the latter since I had to point them to pics that I posted for their perusal on PhotoBucket) and they took care of the shipping both ways without me having to complete any request form.

Of all the guns I own, I've only had problems with three of them. A Ruger, a Taurus and a Kel-Tec.

Taurus paid for shipping both ways.

I had to pay to ship the Ruger to them, they covered the return shipping.

Kel-Tec says I'll have to pay to ship my PMR-30 to them and will possibly have to pay for repairs. I haven't yet sent it back, so I don't know what the outcome of that will be.

Diamondback Firearms.
I should know as I have sent two back twice each.
The second time with the first one they replaced the entire pistol.
You do generally have to request a pre-paid UPS shipping label but when I have they emailed it without argument.

I've never used a gunmaker's CS.

I have had to call Brownells a few times. Once to fix an order I screwed up, two times were vendor related, and they forgot a part once. They are first class IMO.

It's unfortunate that a casualty of the war on terror has been warranty work for exported American Firearms and Accessories ..... it is now very difficult to ship guns back into the USA to be fixed by the people that made them! We have some warranty centers in Canada for bigger US companies and some manage to still do a good job (Leupold for example).

Dillon is first rate. All companies ought to work this way.
Taurus is the worst. Cannot get parts from them. In one incident related to me, a dealer sent a defective gun back. Taurus claimed they never got it. Dealer produced receipt where gun was signed for. Taurus claimed they got an empty box with no gun in it. Dealer wanted to report it stolen. Taurus told him not to do that. Distributor's rep called Taurus VP to try to soirt out mess. Was told to mind his own business.

Lee Precission, good reloading and casting products, great costomer service.Resonable prices. biker

Hi-Point....if the gun breaks, they'll fix it, no questions asked, Even if the gun was used when you bought it. Can't beat that.

From my last experience Ruger won't pay for shipping after the first year... I had to argue with them before they agreed to.

And they won't send a label, you have to waste a whole day waiting for UPS to come pick it up.

Henry has got to be the best.
They stand behind their product 100%.

I had a feed issue with a new rifle and the President of the company emailed me and sent me a new feed tube just in case it was a the cause.
Crimson Trace is another great company. They have replaced lasers that were damaged in combat in Iraq.
I had to fight with Beretta to get them to repair a new pistol.
They finally did but it was a pain to deal with them.

remington is the WORST

*** is wrong with them.....i wont even buy their oil wipes anymore, forget them

I bought my Taurus PT99 used and the rear sight elevation screw was broke when I bought it. One call to customer service and three days later I had the parts. I have returned my Taurus PT99 three times for service and have been treated great all three times with turn around times being very quick.

I had a Ruger Blackhawk .38/.357/9mm and the .38 cylinder had one oversized chamber. Ruger replaced it and I was back shooting within 10 days.

Lee precision has always given me great service.

Smith on the other hand is painful to deal with. This is not good as I bought my wife a Bodyguard .38 and it misfires about 50% of the time. The hammer falls and the cylinder advances but it strikes to light.

I've had good service from Springfield, S&W, Kahr, SIG, and STI over the years. Actually only the STI failed. The others were for cosmetic or service work. Two companies have tried to fix pistols and shipped them back with the same problems, Taurus and KelTec. I'd like to say that HK has good service, but I've never had occasion to send one back.

I can't remember having really had a "bad" experience with any firearms related company yet.

I have had excellent service from the following:

Missouri Bullet Company http://www.missouribullet.com/

TJ Conevera's http://www.tjconevera.com/

Rocky Mountain Reloading http://www.rmrbullets.com/

Lee Reloading (sent replacement primer ram no charge)

Taurus 2X (fixed minor issue 2nd hand pistol rear sight no charge, later sent replacement parts no questions asked)

CDNN (refund for faulty chinese red dot sight. And they include knives/extras/goodies etc. with larger orders, consistently excellent prices and shipping costs)

CMP (repaired service grade HRA with doubling issue, paid shipping both ways, sent 2 replacement firing pins no charge when a firing pin broke later--I offered to pay for one but they sent them free).
