after having some 380 brass mixed in with my 9mm brass..... I monitor my field pickups..

All mine is from a desert AZ Range area so ya never know what and If you will get any at all

Been slim pickens lately... lots of locals go out every day and scan the area..

But I always bring back what I shoot...

No MAN left Behind........
 
The range I attend has brass cans with locked metal grates on top. You are welcome to pick up anything on the ground, but if someone sweeps up and puts it in the can it is lost forever......I have been known to glare at someone dumping their brass in the can.

I also can't look into that can without my breathing becoming laboured and a bead of sweat trickling down my forehead......that brass is so close, yet so very far away......
 
I pick up my brass before I go get my meat....

I also collect brass for calibers I don't have... yet.
 
My range is been slim picking lately...now I pick up old black brass and use lemeshine for a few days before I tumble works great...also all that old 22 lr laying I pi,k it up by the bucket loads and take it to the recycling center by my range...got $63.64 for a few buckets traded that money for new 30-06 brass and the wife has no idea...LOL...time well spent.
