Hey guys. Well I have been looking for a new carry gun. I have been carrying my G19 and my LCP and I have the itch for something new. I was considering the HK P2000sk as an option. Well I was at the gun store yesterday and I finally got my hands on one. To my surprise the HK didn't fit well in my hand. Which this is odd due to the fact that other subcompact guns suit my hand well. While I was there I also picked up a USP Compact 9mm. All I can say is that this gun fits my hand like a glove and feels completely natural to me. I think I have found the new gun for me!!! So what's yalls input on the USPC? Pics are very welcome. Thanks guys.

It impressed the hell out of me BEFORE I shot mine.
Now all my Sigs are jealous cause it prints as good or better than any of them.
What a natural feeling, ergonomic gun! My first plastic, but not all that compact even if it is called compact.
Should've bought the USP 45 for $550 as well, but backed out:banghead:.

Since I shoot a Colt Commander 1911, the HK USPC controls felt intuitive.

I have owned one in 9mm and one in 45 before. The 9mm one fit my hand a little better, because the grip on the 45 USPc is a bit longer (front to back).
Nice guns. Never had an issue with the gun.
Mag springs on factory mags sucked, though. On both guns, after the 3rd range trip, I would get failures to lock back on empty rounds with EVERY magazine.
Some mags I bought later - and it never failed... After the 3rd trip, same thing.
So, I had to buy Wolf +10% springs for all the mags and I changed them out. That solved it, but the new springs are VERY hard to load in the beginning....

I have the full size USP 45. I am nothing but impressed with mine. Now I understand what all the hoopla is about.

Great gun, you won't be disappointed. I share mine at the range with folks and the common result is that they become owners themselves.

I am a HK fan and really enjoyed my USP and USP Compact. Then I got the P2000 .40 cal with the LEM and loved it, then the P2000sk in 9mm and liked it once I got the X-grip, but now my polymer favorite is my year old with my HK45c and really like my newest addition the P30L.
You can not go wrong with their products. The P2000, HK45 and P30 series are just a more ergonomic than the original USP and USP Compact Line. WHat ever your preference with any one of these you will be happy. I would recommend going and shooting the different configurations and before deciding.

I've used a USPc in .40 as my carry gun for a couple of years now, and the short answer is that it's a great gun. Outside of a bad firing pin that mine shipped with (a problem I was aware of) I've yet to have a single failure in several thousand rounds. The only problems I've encountered since buying mine is the price of high cap mags (I just paid $120 for three 12 round mags, I felt sick) and the lack of after market stuff (which isn't really a problem per say). Anyway, if you like it and you can shoot it well you've got every reason to buy it.
I've got one in .40sw and I love it. It is routinely in my carry roatation. As stated above extra mags are expensive. I've never had any trouble from the pistol or the mags and I've been shooting mine regularly for almost 5 years now. In hindsight if I would have gotten one in 9mm instead of .40 but I have zero complaints about the gun. Get it, shoot it, and have fun.
