Obviously the rules apply:

That being: "Beauty is only in the eye of the beholder" and "to each his (or her) own."

Formalities out of the way, I would like to try something a little bit different.

I want to see pictures of some of the cooler Taurus revovlers.

You know, like the model 450 or any of the Total Titanium models. Odd as it is Taurus has actually been blowing my skirt up lately. I once saw a Total Titanum Tracker in 45 ACP and it was a 5 shooter. That is the kind of stuff I want to see. Maybe that old 44 special they used to make too.

Lets see them.

I don't have any way to take pictures but I will verbalize my entry:
Model 441, 6" stainless steel, 5 shot, 44 Special.
One of the finest revolvers I have ever owned and I have had revolvers since 1956 or so. I have probably owned over 70 handguns and the Taurus Model 441 is one of the finest.

WOW I am surprised to see this many Taurus 905's, let me add to it.

My Taurus 905C with Federal Hydro shock 147gr and a target of 10 rounds at 15 yards.

That's a ten (or twelve) year old 85 Multi-Alloy in the center. I carried that gun frequently most years I've owned it. It still goes with me on occasion, but it's mostly a desk gun now.
The snubby on the right is a Model 851 Titanium. That was purchased due to the shrouded hammer which is easier on the clothing and draws a bit easier then the 85.
The revolver on the left is, of course, a Ruger SP101.

4" nickel 66 with stainless ultralite M85 bought new in 1996 and carried ever since. Note the modified front sight. No shiny stainless there. :D

This Taurus 608, friends, is one of my very favorites and by far my best shooting handgun.

it was modified (cylinder turned down to accept them)and the moons custom made by a machinest friend... the barrel was also cut down to fit in an idpa box and the action has been worked to rival that of ANY and ALL Smiths I have handled... gun ruled local competition for one year before the rules were changed to prevent more than 6 shots being loaded at a time.

the 608 is a great gun and great start to a hell of a finished product.... All in all still far less expensive than the smith...even after all the work.

Who did your action work? I was looking at the Wolff Gun Spring site and didn't see anything listed for this model, so I am assuming you need a smith's help in smoothing the action.

A retired Smith named Jon Coulson did all the work including the action work. He did put in a new spring kit as well... if memory serves, it is a Wolff, but I will have to verify.

I'd like to know about the springs if you can find out. I've been wanting a SW 627 for a good while, but can't justify the cost because it will just be a range toy for the most part. However a 608 is roughly half the cost of the Smith

I love the way my model 66 looks. I personally think it looks better than my dad's 686. It isnt as smooth, but it's good enough for me.

I got this one today. Taurus 94 .22 lr 1989 vintage. Shot about 125 rounds through it. No issues thus far. Gave $235.00 for it. Picks kinda suck.
