Correct nipple for Zoli Zouave?

Asking you folks help.
Recently I picked up a Zoli Zouave. Date code shows it to be 1972.
It needs a new nipple.
The old nipple is eroded out not to mention it got chewed up pretty good with that big oaf Texas Moon trying to unscrew it.
Tried TRESO. The nipples thread pitch is correct but the threaded section is too long.
Fully tightened down the flange still sits and 1/16th off the face of the breech piece.
I tried filing off the bottom of the nipple but too much metal gets removed and it opens up the flash channel thru the nipple to full size.
Searched the world over and I can't seem to find what I need.

Any idea on where to get a nipple for this thing?

I retapped mine forty five years ago to 5/16-24 and used a nipple for rifle caps. Still in there, Ampco material. Iirc, I had to deepen the hole a little. Never had ignition trouble with those hot Italian caps or the CCIs that came later.

The Zoli-made Zouaves use the correct US musket nipple thread of 5/16x24. If a nipple flange sits too high insert a copper washer between the nipple & bolster.
