Sorry. In the days when Spain ruled the Western world, their monetary system included the ducat. They don't use it anymore, but the word survives (and is better known than the Greek "talent").
It is a bad idea to get in between a parent and their children. It sounds like ou risk not being welcome in their house if this is ever found out. The best compromise is to keep the gun at your place.
This situation alone should be enough motivation for me to find a way to move out of Mom and Dads house!
He's living with his parents, so it should be their rules. Sounds like it's time for him to move out. I like the idea of giving him a card saying he'll get a gun when he gets his own place.
