Cowboy Action Airsoft

I want to put out an idea of mine. Paintball and Softair are becoming very popular with regular shooters. Softair is actually now popular as a training aid for tactical operations. The most popular shooting sport is Cowboy Action Shooting. Here is the idea. Cowboy Action Softair. Make softair replica guns of popular cowboy guns, revolvers, single shot pistols, side by side shotguns, and of course lever action guns. Using softair paint pellets for force on force Cowboy action. How come no one is doing this already?

The current hero of the hour for teens/early-20's seems to be the Skunkabilly-types, not the John Wayne-types. It would be cool, but I bet the younger kids would fight over who gets to be Wyatt Earp...

If you're familiar with Cowboy Action Shooting, you know that the loads they shoot more or less approximate the power of airsoft pellets anyway.

I do think it's a good idea but I do think that at least a strong portion of those involved in the Airsoft type guns are folks that would rather have a Beretta than a Peacemaker. At least in my experience. I've turned several folks on to the Airsoft guns and the more realistic pellet guns and though I know several folks involved in CAS, all those with an interest in Airsoft guns are more into the autoloaders.

Well, there already exists many old-tyme airsoft guns. For instance, Tanaka Works makes a gas powered Colt SAA:

I've also seen a couple double-barreled shotguns and the like. No idea about lever-action rifles... yet.

I remember there was a sawed off lever action made by Marushin. They weren't all that great and were known to have gas leaks.

Actually, at My request My friends and I have taken PB pistols and had quickdraw face-off's against one another.
Lot's of fun! Especially when someone would catch the other one in the facemask

Get a couple of Colt SAA Airsoft guns and you could do High Noon "quick draw" type shootouts.

Just need to get the soundtrack CD of a couple of Spaghetti westerns for "atmosphere"

Good idea George, actually it wouldn't break the bank either, as the guns are all single action to begin with.

My cousin actually had an Airsoft marlin rifle, it was really fun. It was better than the slide-action Glocks we had
