I recently acquired a Crosman 2240, The front sight is canted about 5 degrees to the left of vertical.

What is the proper way to adjust the angle of the front sight? (I can sight in the gun to keep it on the target at 4 m. with the rear, but I am at the extreme left of the sight adjustment--and the sight angle is annoying).

Does anyone market an aftermarket front sight for the standard Crosman barrel in the U.S. (In my casual searching, I have found some parts suppliers, but they have all been in Europe).

You need to move your front sight back to vertical. As it is now, the left cant has moved the point of impact to the right (thus your rear sight being at the extreme left of the sight adjustment to correct for this).
The front sight is a friction fit (unless they have started using some type of thread locker). Try pulling it off or you can try tapping it off and reinstalling. You could also pad it and try turning it. Here are some more suggestions for removing press fit barrel accessories: http://www.nzairgunners.com/nzairgunforum/showthread.php?t=663
I saw this posted elsewhere and it might be of help:
"If your trying to take off the front sight but having trouble try boiling some water and dipping the sight into it, this should expand the plastic making it alot easier to remove the sight."

Excellent 2240 reference: http://www.nzairgunners.com/nzairgunforum/showthread.php?t=5084

Here's sight in Canada that offers a muzzle brake and sight pin for the 2240;
