Don't have a Crossbreed but I used to have a Comp-Tac CTAC, which I believe works about the same, in fact I think it uses the same belt clips. I too found the only problem with it to be the time it took to get it 'installed'.
Fozzy's advice sounds pretty good.
I advise actually timing the process with your watch; that's what I did. I don't remember now how long it took me -- I just found that once I knew that it was actually, say, three and a half minutes, it didn't bother me so much. Just the other day I found that it takes me 30 seconds to change pants, but about three minutes to transfer all the crap I carry around, including an IWB holster.
I've also found that the tucked shirt mode is more trouble than I usually want to bother with, so I've been getting more Hawaiian-style shirts or wearing an open shirt over a T-shirt (I always figure Ray Romano on Everybody Loves Raymond is carrying). Your draw is going to be a good second or two faster, too. Which reminds me: have you tried drawing the tucked-in gun while belted in in your car? I did. It can be done, but it's a struggle!
Having said all that, I still carry in a tuckable holster. When you need to be dressed up, it's great. I was at a memorial service this last Sunday and one of the first people I saw was an ex-girlfriend, who said I looked nice, but nothing about what I might be carrying -- and she was observant enough to point out that my fly was open. Oops.
So for those occasions, a tuckable can't be beat... except maybe by a pocket holster. But that's a whole 'nother issue.
Oh, and Fozzy's advice about the cell phone is excellent too, I've found, especially with the lump of a revolver cylinder.
