THR is the place for you. Though we don't have a seperate category (which has been discussed), there are many C&R fans here. Just post in the category that matches your question and see what I mean.
Ok, why was this moved down to tech support? If it was asking about getting a seperate forum here I could see it being bounced down to tech, but it was asking about other forums out there on the web. Not that I really care too much, just trying to understand the the thought process.
I'm a bit partial I guess, but I really have found the one Brat7748 suggested to be a wealth of knowledge and full of very friendly people who will gladly answer almost any question you have and won't slam or ciriticize people for being newbies.
My favorite is the one on Guns Net. I see some members from the Guns Net C&R boards here on the High Road sometimes. Gunboards and Parallax's forums are really good but almost too big for me. The Fal Files is a great board but their C&R forum really doesn't have much info. There just aren't a lot of C&R experts there (FAL experts, yes definitely).
Happy crufflering! I've been at it for over a year and it's my favorite hobby. Now is probably as good as its going to get for C&R's with the influx of ex-communist arms. Other countries are emptying their stocks of bolt action rifles now too. Ammo is cheap and plentiful. Once those bolt actions are gone, prices will go up slightly and the selection will become poorer.
I believe that this may have been moved to technical support in error, because we recently had a different thread requesting having a C&R forum here. I'll move it to General.
Thanks gents (and ladies) for the many good links! Sorry for the movement confusion........ I too, will look forward to a High road C&R forum, but until then I will enjoy these!
I second all of the above links. I just got my C&R about 2 weeks ago, and my Lithgow SMLE from BDL is due in tomorrow. From the look on She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed's face....there's hard times a-comin', but I already have 2 or 3 other purchases planned.
There are many firearm-specific boards buried around the net. I know of two for Swiss rifles and at least two for Mosin-Nagants. Just type in the names on Google and they'll pop up. I'm sure there are more.
