Hey all,

I recently received my Curio and Relic FFL in the mail from the BATF. I wanted to see who are you all using when buying your guns? I have contacted SOG in Ohio and also Century Arms. Can you recommend any other places that are easy to deal with and have good prices on C&R type guns?

Oh, in case you didn't know.

Bound Book: You are required to keep one. So, order one from Brownell's and send them a copy of your C&R License. You'll get a free catalog and excellent discounts.

MidwayUSA also gives discounts to C&R licensees.

I'd be interested in hearing of other suppliers who offer discounts.

Carlos,

Thank you very much for the info...I REALLY needed that.

I have a question...the only book that I can find on their site that seems appropriate for this purpuse is the "Firearms Record Book". It says it complies with BATF guidelines, but it does not really say anything about C&R use vs. regular FFL use. Is the book the same?

Yes the books are the same. You can also download blank pages & keep them in a 3 ring binder if you don't want to buy a book (or you started buying stuff before the book arrives :D  ).

aguyindallas,

I have a set of C&R addresses formatted in Word to print straight to Avery5162 labels that I can email to you if you wish. I have sent them to many of the C&R holders here on THR.

Copy your license, sign each one (I use blue ink), enclose a short letter asking the company to put you on file and request a copy of their catalog and put in envelope. Print these labels, stick on a stamp and send.

I was deluged with catalogs and flyers within a week.

If you, (or anyone who hasn't yet asked), want the list, send me an email and I will send them in return, it will be in the form of three attachments so don't be alarmed when you see it arrive, it is virus free. Put "C&R List" in the subject line so I know to not throw you in the trash pile....:D

Will this downloadable version satisfy the BATF?
Yep. You have to print out hardcopies to keep in a binder or whatever. I can't remember where in the BATF regs it is, but they have a section discussing this. I looked it up back when I started. I think it's also discussed somewhere in the thread I linked you to for the bound book.
