No, just some sort of ban on "Saturday Night Specials", I think that the law says no cast zinc frames.

what's their definition of "saturday night specials"? is it .38 snubbies, or any cheap little pistol like lorcin or jennings?

I said in the quote you took that I think it is zinc frames that makes a gun a "Saturday Night Special" in Illinois. Therefore Lorcin and Jennings are out. I've never seen one here that I can remember.

It's because making a frame from cast zinc is much cheaper than steel. Therefore, in their view cheap to make guns are bad.

there is no ban on zinc parts or pistols in Illinois...isn't the slide on a Walther P-22 zinc???

I said zinc frames, not zinc parts. Also, I'm not even sure that that is the definition that they use.

CHICAGO'S!!!!!!

Would you guys read my posts.....The Walther P22, Sig Mosquito, Phionex Arms HP22, etc., and any small snubnose revolver (Saturday Night Specials) can not be owned, sold, or bought in CHICAGO!!! They are legal in the rest of the state that has freedom! Alot of these stupid laws were put into place in CHICAGO when daley was in office. Zink is seen as an inferior alloy to CHICAGO police and therefore they have banned pistols made of it!! CHICAGO has also banned so called "assault weapons" and magazines above 10 rounds. Again a CHICAGO law ONLY. Most all of the stupidity in Illinois is only in Cook county!
