The Taurus Mil-Pro 145 is a great gun and can be had for under $300 if you shop the gun shows, also the Bersa UC45 is a great gun. Own both and love them!!!

I've never shot one, but if I was looking for a 1911A1 on a budget, I think I'd look at the RIA first. Might opt for the "tactical" package over the "GI" trim.

P90 should be 350-400 new, P345 runs right around 400 new plus or minus 10 or 20 bucks.

I wish they had a Commander in "tactical" package.... or do they have one? I would definitely get that.

Right now bouncing between the (RIA) CSP compact versus the Commander. Don't really want a 5" right now...but later i'm sure it'll happen.
