Custom airsoft guns finding the right airsoft gun!!

Hi everyone,

Custom air soft guns are a best way to go when you are an advanced player in the air soft world. Air soft guns are the best because they are modeled after real live guns and changeable like real ones as well making them fun and interactive. There are some pretty cool websites online that have the top of the line airsoft guns on sale. Also, the benefit of custom airsoft weapons is the ability to become familiar with the nomenclature of the real rifle. Custom airsoft guns are a good learning tool, so that people would be able to become more simple with handling real rifles.

Meh. I don't get airsoft.

For the price of a high-end airsoft gun you can buy a quality real firearm, so why do I want something that shoots plastic balls when I can have the real deal? As far as training new shooters go, I think it is more about working with someone and supervising than giving them a toy. One of the things that a new shooter must understand is that improperly handled guns can result in killing you or someone else, and I think the gravity of that disappears with airsoft. I don't believe they will respect it in the same manner.

I do know our local police use airsoft for some of their tactical training in the police academy, just to demonstrate how to clear buildings and so forth. I can understand it's role there, but in the past they actually used paintball guns and other things to prove how vulnerable officers are in certain situations. Big difference in what they are doing and training a new shooter.

Airsoft is only of interest wrt it's role in safe handling training and FOF training and those discussions take place in S&T.
