Custom built Glock

Get hold of JR at Lone Wolf Dist. in Old Town ID

They have either invented, made or have avaliable anything worth having Glock related = even custom in house produced frames.

Tell them any machine work you want done is by JL at the Custom Shop

WHY?

Leave it alone.

Sure, the GLOCK is butt ugly but leave it alone. You cannot make it
"pretty". Face it, ugly is ugly.

BUT, it will shoot and shoot and shoot and that makes it great looking.

I liked the pink Glock....that should be unique enough for most folks.

I think its interesting the two markets.

1911 customization is one thing, Glock customization is another.

Glock customs have wolves, bright colors, flames, punisher heads and nuclear symbols.

Sorry. I will have to pass on that.

Yes, because stupid accessories for the 1911 like Punisher grips don't exist...

There's plenty to do for the Glock (or 1911) that isn't tacky. There are plenty of improvements for either one to fit an individual user's preference.

I always wanted to "customize" my glock too but after thinking about it... it just wasn't worth it. It would be cool if you could attach your own grips on there like 1911's.

"Thinking about a tiger-striped Glock with a threaded barrel makes me vomit a little bit inside. I lost the cookies entirely with the flamed thing."

/\ What he said.

I'm afraid they do.

From the first page of 1911 grips on ebay. I'm not rushing out to buy them either but someone must like them.

Could be worse,

or even...

I like to joke about the flames (no old hot rodders here?;)) but if it does get 'scratched up' it will likely be something unimaginative like a badge, monogram, or maybe the 1* endplate. Like a tattoo, once it's done I can't undo it if I find I really don't like it.

They all look the same in the dark though.

Unless you get the glow-in-the-dark tiger stripe paint job with rotating lighted disco ball on top!!! :neener:

There's a big difference between a "custom" gun and one that has simply had some after-market parts added to it. Custom implies to me that you have done something to it that makes it special to you. Something that you have chosen that might make it different than someone else's in some way. Adding parts that anyone else can add is something that anyone can do and the result will be just like theirs.

These are "custom" guns....

I think Glocks loo best the way they are.

But if you want a weird one, keep it clean and simple. Don't put fn flames on it. Get a used police trade in. The slides get scraped up but the plastic frame usually looks decent.

Get the slide refinished in chrome (ick), add custom night sites like XS big dots. Plenty of threaded barrel options.

Check out Glockworx for all your trigger needs.

Pimpin' out a Glock reminds me of the old VW Beetles that had the fake Rolls Royce front caps on them. Why bother? I don't customize my Craftsman wrenches or my Vice-Grip pliers.

Personally I can see functional modifications such as better sights, a grip reduction, stippling in areas where it is needed, etc. Things that make it a better tool make a lot of sense to me. Putting stuff on it for its own sake is something different entirely and seems silly to me generally and particularly on a gun like a glock.

That said it is your and if it makes you happy go right ahead.

Hey DesertScout where were those front slanted cocking serrations done? kinda make it different even though they don't match the back.
