I bought a used Glock 17 at the local Carter's Country here in Houston. It was a First generation with no finger grooves and no rail. Overall the gun is tight and everything seems fine, I have other Glocks and the barrel has little wear marks. But the slide seems to be a rougher parkerized, dull finish. Compared to my newer Glocks which have a slight shine. Did I buy a police trade in or some sort of refurbished pistol? I was thinking that maybe the older Glocks were just made this way. Do I have to worry about rust now? I mean it is a Glock, and doesn't have a reputation as a fragile gun, so now what? Anybody know a good online source of magazines by the way? Pics coming soon.
