First off, unrealated to the #1 question thread.

Have a bolt action .375 HH. 23 inch barrel. Wanting to cut downt he barrel to 21 or 20 inches and then add a muzzle break. Will this effect accuracy much? Energy? Will it cause the decible level of blast to increase drastically or just a little. Thanks.

If it's properly done, trimming the barrel will not degrade the accuracy any. Muzzle blast will be increased substantually by the muzzle-brake and slightly by the shorter barrel. Energy will be reduced due to the reduced velocity which is reduced due to the shortened combustion chamber (barrel). How much this reduction is varies some, but is most evident in high capacity magnums like the 375. If there is a real reason to shorten the barrel, fine. But otherwise, a magnum's advantage is realized in a 24-26 inch barrel.
