Just looked at a cva hawkens muzzleloader I think I can get it pretty cheap the barrel looks good needs to be clean though the hammer is tight. It has double set tiggers the only problem is the bottom back of the stock as a piece of the stock missing other than that its fine what would be a fair price thanks

$100 is a fair price, anything less than that is a great price. Anything more than that and you may be able to find something better. I had a CVA Hawkens and it was one of the most accurate long gun BPs I ever owned. I have a CVA Pennsylvania hunter and it is a very accurate gun.

I bought my Plainsman for 80 bucks. The bore is in good shape and it shoots patched ball or Lee 360 REAL bullets pretty well, not as well as my CVA Wolf or my Cabela's Hawken Hunter Carbine, but well enough to hunt with to about 75 yards. I bought it for the 1:48 twist so I could shoot patched ball. My other two are 1:24 and 1:32. I'm happy with it considering the price. :D

How can i fix the stock the only part that's gone is the very bottom of the stock where it meets the butt plate it not a big place I have thought about craving one because I hate to replace the hole stock.thanks

make what is known as "dutchman" repair. It is very common and has been done for well over a century on military guns, simply cut the portion out that is bad and replace with a new portion and glue in place. the wood can then be smoothed. A pic would be helpful to determine the best route to take in making the repair.
