I was wondering if you could tell me the manufacturing date of my CVA Woodsman .50 cal rifle serial number 962676

I believe that the letter "N * 2" with the small star above/between indicates the proof year date is 1994.
If it were made in 1995 or later, there would be a 12 digit code with the last 2 digits being the proof year.
However prior to 1995, there should be either a single capital letter or a capital letter and a numeral as shown on this chart:--->>> https://www.gunvaluesboard.com/spanish-date-codes-14189.html
Notice that it states that in some cases the old code is still used.

The chart on another reference page also indicates the same 1994 proof year date code:--->>> http://www.hallowellco.com/proof_date_codes.htm

Both reference charts indicate the proof year as being 1994.
