Anyone have any experience with this gun? I came across a great deal on one...$509.00 and it won't last.

I hear and read such good things about CZ products.

I'm looking for a 9mm carry gun and I'm also considering the ruger sr-9.

I have had a CZ 75 Compact. That gun was a great gun, no complaints it ate up all ammo I had to throw at it with out a hickup ever! (Some days I find myself wondering why I sold it, ::sigh::)

I do not have experience with the RAMI; however if its a CZ product I would not hesitate to purchase it.

I have one and it has been very reliable. Reasonably accurate too and it stays with me in my truck. Its comparable to the Glock 26 in size and it will also fit well in a 26 holster.

If your going to buy a Rammi, the 9mm is the one to have. The .40 caliber has had some problems but they may have been fixed by now.

I recently purchased the CZ RAMI in .40. I thought I was getting a 'great' deal on it. Overall I liked the feel of the gun. The grip was fantastic and it pointed well for me.

The problem for me was reliability and to a lesser extent accuracy. I had 1 FTF every 100 rounds using HP and FMJ ammo. For me the gun also seemed to be shooting to the left. I took the gun to the range and let one of the shooting instructors shoot it for a while. He was also consistently getting left hits and again he also had 1 FTF. He moved the adjustable rear sight and was hitting the bulls eye every time. It is worth noting that he also liked the 'feel' of the gun.

If you buy the gun and don't like it for whatever reason I wouldn't expect to get much on a trade i.e. less than you would get for a Glock.

Accessories for this gun are more difficult to find. If you want mags you will probably have to order them online. I purchased a Cozy Partner Glock 26 holster and it worked well. Finding a RAMI specific holster is going to be more difficult but not impossible.

I had the gun for two weeks and as much as I wanted to like it I just couldn't get over the reliability issue. I could have had the feed ramp polished and tried some other things but ultimately decided to cut my losses. I bought a Glock 26. The G26 is more accurate imo than the RAMI and is much easier to get parts and accessories for. It is also 100% reliable. I shot it yesterday, several hundred rounds, in the rain. The gun does not fail. (Note - the RAMI mags don't drop. The Glock Mags do).

I wanted to find a reliable glock alternative. The RAMI may be it for you, but it wasn't for me. I made the attempt though.

Personally, I suggest spending a little more money on a Glock or SIG or XD for a personal defense weapon. If you just want to add to your collection and have a fun range gun then get the RAMI. Then again, the RAMI might work well for you and might work better in 9mm. I am just at the point where prefer to go with the 'more' sure thing.

Good luck.
