I am looking for a new safety for my CZ. Basically my problem is that the safety is hard to “grip” and turn on/off quickly. Yes I know that is to help prevent snag but I would like something that protrudes a bit more. Does anyone know if a different safety actually exists?

I have already checked czcustom, cz-usa, and a few others but all they had were the factory safeties. I also tried to sign up for czforum but signup is not working right now so I will try later and ask them if I do not get an answer here.

Not sure if it will fit the remi or not but the cz 75b SA safety might be what your looking for. I would give czcustom a call and ask them they are really nice and there shipping is fast to.

I concur, call CZ-Custom. One thing I'd strongly recommend, DO NOT change it out from another CZ 75 based pistol. I tried that with the slide stop on my .40 S&W RAMI and darned broke the pistol!

I simply dig my CZ RAMI BD, with decocker (so no safety). A bit wide but accurate for a 3" barrel and with the elongated magazine (which I like a lot), carries 14+1 in 9 mm. Can be tough to acquire, and a bit pricey, but it is my CCW.

This was precisely my objection to one I tried. It is also too far forward for my thumb to reach. I would greatly prefer a D (decocking) model, personally.

Perhaps, if no other safety will fit or can be adapted, the lever could be built up by TIG welding, ground/filed to the desired shape, re-heat-treated and then blued. It would likely be pricey, though.
